ok go concert

Due to the unforeseen events of CoronaVirus in 2020, many events - including concerts - were forced to be postponed to a later date. When designing for an Ok Go concert at the MotorPoint arena in Nottingham, I took into consideration the quarantine guidelines and Covid response.

Using VR goggles, the audience can enjoy the immersive concert from their homes. I designed a giant Rube Goldberg machine around the entire space of the MotorPoint arena, including the stands and bleachers.

There will be 3D cameras around the entire space, so viewers can choose different viewpoints. The band will be playing on the stage, while the Goldberg machine will continue around them.

People who bought tickets will be sent makeshift cardboard VR goggles, that are easy to assemble and manipulate. Ideally, the viewer will be wearing the goggles, and noise canceling headphones to enjoy the show to the fullest.

The goggles will have one of the bands album covers on it - to add some personality.

Costumes

In many of their music videos, the band members are all wearing similar outfits, and are color coded.

My costume design is based on the ones they wear in the music video, "This too Shall Pass".
